Ballet of StarsA heavenly ballet sung on the far end of a Milky Way
       Mysterious lights that guide us through the night
               A flowing motion that has stemmed from the very beginning of time Eternal

When the universe was created the Stars were there
       In the dark of night they are the light
               Weaving dreams with a silken thread

Want to know the mysteries of the Stars
       Look for the light that shines behind your eyes
               and you realize that the mystery is You

This is why everyone is so interested in the Stars.
Silent SymphonyThe sweetest tone
    and the most subtle sound
A reflective melody
    in a consistent harmony
As time spins figure eight 
    on the tip of a silver-threaded needle
AdorationThere can sometimes be a certain kind of
certainty
when it comes to matters of your-self
and the ways in which you not just see
but, most especially, in the ways in which you
believe
you
are
less
than
you
are

my dear

In such cases we must always remind ourselves to be
open
not just in our hearts but in our minds, as well
open to the notions of others in their most soft-spoken and most
vehement
voices
that contradict the most deeply-held beliefs in your
heart

I'd hate to be redundant, but I feel inclined to say
that I find it hard to agree with you, sometimes,
in all the little ways you
doubt
your own
magnificence
th
In My WorldIt's like nothing else in the world exists
but faces, and that long-forgotten sting.
That ceaseless drumming of "innocent" fists—
my head's a broken bell; let freedom ring.

I called them crocodile tears. I lied,
since every time I look a little weak,
the big kids came out and got me. Yeah, I cried.
But not out loud, I was too choked to speak.

Now the big kids play their parts on stage, as peers
and while that may seem better, to a fool,
it's always been the worst of all my fears.
Now bullies look like friends; it's just too cruel.

Quoth the dark schoolboy, his backbone whorled
"The children are the demons in my world."
RenewalAutumn leaves fall dry
  Old memories drift away
     Bringing a new day
In BlissCaught in your ocean
    riding waves lost in passion
        Two souls intertwine
Sounds of R(e)volutionWhat a clever deception you played
     Taking hearts and dividing them into parts
     All for financial satisfaction and monetary gain

Did you think that you'd bribe your way through the gate?
     Or maybe that you'd buy a plane ticket and fly straight to heaven?

Well I have a message for you
     Heavens not something that can be bought
     put in a pretty little package and marked up at wholesale
     and the sound of those beating hearts, that's the chisel to your grave

Capitalistic, corporate scum
     The people are NOT toys to be bought and sold, The people ARE the world
     Our blood, sweat and tears are what make it
 
The night the stars left me breathlessWatch as time paints a scene
a tone of blue for a black
as the sky trades a day for a night
and I a prayer for a light
Stars rest along the horizon
countless infinite lights
cradled deep within the night
singing ancient hymns within the open mind
Sheets of winter snow fade under the street lamps
as the scent of spring blossoms along currents in the wind
and the drops of rain wash away the dirt, take away this pain
and leave nothing but amazing behind
Take a deep breath and listen to your heart
as the rhythm flows in and out
look up into the night sky and watch the stars as they oscillate off and on
and realize they really aren't that far from where you stand
(The night the stars left me breathless) is the night I understood that I didn't have a reason to live - I had too many to count.
DreamscapesCaught on a tight-rope between moon beams
somewhere hidden within a dream

A landscape of stars scatter at the touch of the brush
only to come together in a spiral that dances in a dizzying rush

Teetering neither to the right nor to the left
playing a game of balance tip-toeing just on the center line

Watching the metronome swing as two stars collide and intertwine
creating an explosion in iridescent hues and a fusion of harmonic tunes

As I catch a drift off a comet's tail and free-fall through the center
to wake up in bed and realize its all just a dream...

A Poet's RomanceShe was the quiet sort,
tsunamis tucked
within her eyes,
anxieties pinned
to pottery skin;

she would mold herself
into moonlight butterflies
and glist'ning calla lilies,

pure and white and
beautiful.

and when night cast
itself upon her in
heated, hard'ning flames,

she’d smash herself
upon the rocks
and in morning start
again.
I Only KnowThere are at least
thirty-seven thousand ways
to get from here to there.

here,
where your body fits
next to my body, your breaths
match my breaths; your
escape-
paradise, sanctuary, utopia-
surrounds my escape.

where you and I are not
the same; where your edges

clatter against my presence.

Mea CulpaI.
I thought you were the rain, but no,
I was the rain. I meant to drown you. I
wanted you to be inescapably drenched-
your trachea clogged, your mouth an 'O'
of desperate gasping, your lips parted
and blue. If I wasn't enough to die for,
I wouldn't ever be enough.

Your disappearances were noted with
darkened clouds- thick and heavy, tight
with waiting. You always returned with a
thunderclap, moving me to a downpour of
deprived longing. I was a flood and you
were a desert begging to be a sea. But
flood-waters river into oceans, and
deserts are meant to be dry.

It was selfish of me to treat you
like a boat- I l

A Winter's PleaAs the sun burns my pale shoulders
I sigh
Wishing for a cold snap
A frigid breeze that creeps up my shirt

I remember the constant snow
The hearth ablaze
Your cold hands on my cheeks
Using my body heat to warm you

In the winter we thrived
Snowy white, pristine
Venturing outside
But always coming in from the snow
Together

Changing with the seasons
Growing in the spring
I want a never ending winter
With you

I like your body cold
My hands like kindling
Set your heart aflame
Until you venture out again

You can't erase your fate when you are loved by one

Nothing is all there is, look up above and you will know this true
The choice is whether you accept or yearn for something more
Once you realize you have everything there is nothing more you need
So follow the finger but look at the moon

Melancholy Blues

Intricate butterfly how you weave such
an interesting pattern in the dust

Of buildings long crumbled in soot and ash they lay
telling stories of glories that once stood proud

Flying in a world so black and white
with rain that tips and taps in a melancholic blues

Your flight is laboured and your wings covered in oily residue
Of too many burdens too often held

Sometimes I see you there behind metallic bars
the place where you hide all your scars

Intricate little butterfly

If only you could see all the colors you possess
you would light this world up and the sun with it

Let the rain wash away the pain
and just maybe next time you hear it

It wont play such a melancholic blues

Thank you for the wonderful comment my friend. And its too true, life can be quite suffocating at times but just like a storm it only lasts for so long before the Sun breaks through to shed some light.

This is also very true, thank you for reminding me of importance (to me). Its true that trust is the hardest but to not trust life is not truly living and yes, suffering is a part of life. Something worth remembering.
